Accommodation

Wildtracks offers fully-serviced, self-catering accommodation. This means that although guests bring their own food and drinks, meals can be prepared by the Wildtracks staff. For lodge guests, all cutlery, crockery and kitchen facilities are provided. Chalets and tents are serviced daily and all linen is provided. Lodge guests have full access to all facilities in the main lodge area.  Ourlodge accommodation is booked and charged per unit (chalet/tent) per night. The campsite is separate to the main lodge and campers are expected to be self-sufficient and bring all necessary equipment with them. Campsites all have water and power points and although firewood is provided the campsites are not serviced. Full ablutions and washing up areas are provided in the campsite. Camping is booked and charged per person per night. Camping fees do not cover access to the facilities in the main lodge.

Wildtracks Lodge

Baobab faces the river and is our largest chalet and can sleep four to six people. There are two separate bedrooms and space for beds in the front room. Rooms can be made up as double or twins. A fridge, plenty of storage space for fishing gear etc, and a small safe for valuables are provided.

Mukuyu is set back from the river and is suitable for a small family. There is one en suite room, with space for two more beds in the front room. Carmine, Malachite, Fish Eagle & Hornbill – There are four large Meru style tents on decks, set back into the bush. These can be configured as doubles, or as dorms for larger groups. All three tents share ablutions at the back of the camp.

Bushbuck is our luxury tent and is in a secluded glade looking onto the river. The tent is en suite, suitable for two people and has a private deck overlooking the river.

Wildtracks Campsite

Campsites are situated just outside the main lodge and has three large, grassed campsites, two of which overlook the river. Each campsite has water and power points and a picnic table. There are shared ablutions and washing up facilities. The campsite and the lodge are run as separate entities, so campers will need to be completely self sufficient as camping fees do not include access to the main lodge facilities.

Boat hire & other services

Boats (Lovely T, Captain Original & Njovu) - We have one boat and two pontoon boats available for river cruises and fishing trips. Pontoons seat a maximum 0f 8 adults. Lovely T seats a maximum of 8 adults.  All boats can be hired on a half or full day basis, with a coxswain/fishing guide. While we don’t allow our boats to be hired without a coxswain, there is also plenty of mooring space for guests who bring their own boats. (Angling licences are required by law  in Zambia and while angling off lodge boats is covered by the Wildtracks angling Licence, guests using their own boats are responsible for all applicable licences and fishing/boating permits.)

Terms & Conditions

1. Reservations

1.1. All rates quoted are on a unit (tent or chalet) per night basis unless otherwise indicated.
1.2. All rates are for accommodation only unless other wise specified.
1.3. All bookings are subject to availability.
1.4. Rooms will be kept until 18:00 on day of arrival unless otherwise assured or guaranteed.
1.5. Written communication via email between you and Wildtracks management  is required to confirm a booking.
1.6. Check-in is after 14:00 and checkout is before 10:00.
1.7. Rates are subject to availability and fluctuations and we reserve the right to change rates at our sole discretion without prior warning or notification.

2. Cancellations
2.1. Cancellations – for two or fewer units – within 48 hours prior to arrival will be subject to a full cancellation fee of the value of the accommodation booked.

2.2. Cancellations – for three or more units – within seven days prior to arrival will be subject to a full cancellation fee of the value of the accommodation booked.
2.3. Guaranteed reservations will be held for first night only, after which the accommodation will be released.
2.4. Rates may be subject to change.
